Just like a shot of vitamins to give you energy every day, your bag also needs its dose of energy to nourish its material. We recommend cleaning and nourishing a leather bag 2 to 3 times a year depending on how you use it.
1. Dust and clean gently
Whether it is cowhide or calfskin, whether the leather of your bag is grained or smooth, use a soft, clean cloth to dust the exterior and interior. Moisten it with clear lukewarm water over the entire surface, taking care of the metal buckles that adorn the bag. Finally, wipe it gently with a dry cloth and let it dry for 24 to 48 hours, with the handles facing down.
2. Nourish to hydrate
Once the leather has been cleaned, make circular motions with a cloth lightly soaked in a nourishing, colorless milk. For a gentle massage and for your bag to regain its initial shine, choose a microfiber fabric or chamois.
3. Protect every day
Throughout its life, your leather bag can be protected if you adopt the right reflexes. We recommend that you store it in its original cover when you are not using it. To preserve its original lines, curves and structure, it is advisable not to fill it too much and to line its interior with tissue paper after each use. Finally, store it away from prolonged exposure to light or an area of heat and humidity which could damage its components. Consider putting your small personal effects in a leather or canvas pouch to optimize the space of your bag and to protect the interior lining from possible stains from pen, oil, perfume, cream or lipstick . Finally, when purchasing, we advise you to waterproof your leather bag, with the exception of smooth leather, to protect it from bad weather.
HOW TO CARE FOR A CANVAS BAG?

2. Rinse and air dry with handles facing down.
3. Apply this cleaning routine a few times a year to avoid letting stains become deeply embedded in the canvas.
